Onsemiro Fine Dining Korean Restaurant at Intermark Kuala Lumpur is one of the hidden gems for Korean food, also one of the very few Korean restaurants in KL that offers weekend buffet, which you may not know. This eatery used to have Sunday BBQ Buffet in 2013, but has stopped for some time. Until this December 2015, Onsemiro is back with their special Sunday Buffet dinner, which priced at only RM88++ per person!
Can’t deny that la-carte selections like Korean grilled meat, bibimbap, kimchi soup, Samgyetang, Tteokbokki and so forth are more popular among locals when comes to Korean cuisine. However, there are times where diners wish to have better Korean spread for a meal, especially those dining in couple. Buffet is the best choice to try our more varieties, taste a bit of everything.
Question is, where to find a good one? Now you know – Onsemiro. Already in business for 3 years in Intermark with constant flow of new customers and returned guests, full-house during weekday lunch, rest assured, Onsemiro certainly doesn’t go packed during peak hours for no reason.
Onsemiro uses fresh, quality ingredients to ensure best flavour for all dishes. Browsing through the wide array of banchan served in their Sunday buffet dinner, we immediately immersed in the authenticity of Korean dining. We only managed to try out half of them, generally good, great palate opener.
For hot dishes, we piled the plate with braised chicken, stir fried beef slices with onions & vegetables, stir-fried japchae, mussels stew, pancake pajeon, hot & spicy Korean rice cake with fish cake, and seaweed soup. Selections may not be extensive, but pretty delicious for every dish.
Stir Fried Beef Slices with Onions & Vegetables was our favourite dish from mains. Tender and juicy meat slices, laced with sweetness of onions released into the gravy. Japchae was decent too, simple comfort food.
Moving on the buffet goes a little international with deep fried prawn tempura, deep fried onion rings, prawns, oysters, scallops, salmon sushi and sashimi. Seafood on ice could be fresher, but a dollop of sauce would fix this in the mean time.
We are big fans of dumpling, or its counterpart, regardless its country of origin. *grin* From jiao zi to sui kow, gyoza, ravioli, manti, momo, we love them all. Hence, not taking few mandu from Onsemiro buffet is so not us. We had like, more than half dozen of it.
Korean BBQ? YES!! Definitely!! Never leave Onsemiro without tucking into their finely grilled meat. Instead of placing raw meat on the buffet line for pick & grill on your own, the restaurant has assigned staffs to prepared for your. Just order your choice of meat, and let the staff to do the rest of the job.
Four types of meat to choose from currently, and highest vote goes to the grilled beef, thanks to its rich, delicate texture, locked with moisture.
Complete the meal with fruits, traditional Korean dessert tteok, and ginger tea. Visit before the promotions end, as it is yet to confirmed whether the restaurant will continue with this Sunday buffet dinner in 2016.
