With the opening of Absolute Thai Hot Pot in Mid Valley Megamall KL, shoppers can now enjoy hot pot, or more known as steamboat by locals, in the shopping mall. Absolute Thai Special Paste RM17.90
Among all, Absolute Thai Special Paste made from prawns, fish and vegetables is the must-try. Scoop the sturdy mush into hot soup and when they cooked, enjoyable bouncy texture in every bite is what we are looking for. Goes well with Absolute Thai special chili sauce.
Assorted Vegetable Tempura RM19.90
This is basically a Thai version of batter fried vegetables, so do not compare it with Japanese tempura. The batter itself, can be slightly different but equally crispy at the exterior, packed with natural sweetness of different vegetables within. Great as starter for sharing but our friends love this so much that she said she could have the whole plate to herself. Imagine the tempura is “that addictive”.
Deep Fried Chicken Wings RM19.00
Garlic and Black Pepper Fried Rice with Fresh Crab Meat RM27.50
It is great to see a promising list of single plate noodles and rice on Absolute Thai Hot Pot Menu, such as Tom Yum Soup with Seafood and Mee Hoon (RM17.90), Pineapple Fried Rice with Prawns, Thai Style Stewed Beef with Rice Noodle Soup (RM21.00), Stir Fried Seafood and Thai Chilli Paste served with Garlic Fried Rice (RM23.00), Stir Fried Udon Noodles with Seafood and Hot Basil Leaves (RM23.00), Pad Thai (RM23.00), etc.. Ideal for diners who wish to have a quick meal below RM25.
Barbecued Chicken Served with Garlic Fried Rice RM23
Mango Sticky Rice Topped with Coconut Ice Cream and Roasted Peanut RM17.90
Never leave Absolute Thai without indulging into their wonderful Mango Sticky Rice. Tried out a more “abundance version” this time, which put together sticky rice with cubed mango, further topped with coconut ice cream and garnished with roasted crushed peanut. Taste wise? Of course better than the classic mango sticky rice.
Red Ruby Waterchestnuts and Jackfruits served in Iced Coconut Milk RM13.50
Red Ruby Waterchestnuts and Jackfruits served in Iced Coconut Milk, or Tab Tim Krob is obviously, another best-seller dessert in Thai restaurant. Coconut milk as base, dressed with water chestnuts, sliced jackfruits, coconut flesh to sum up a more plentiful flavours.
