Nara Kitchen & Co. at Damansara Uptown is just a stone’s throw away from the popular brunch spot The Good Batch, cheerfully managed by the same team. We stayed in for about 3 hours last weekend and have to say that Nara Cafe is clearly more quiet compare to The Good Batch. A plus point for cafe hoppers who wish to have undisturbed moments to themselves.
White at the first glance, minimalist clean with furnishing in light tone. Square greyish floor tiles, wooden tables, chairs and customized stool with upholster in pale brown. A touch of green from potted plants placed on wall shelves, counter and long tables near to entrance, making it a good spot for Instagraming.
Nara Kitchen & Co. full-fledged menu will be launched on 18 August, but the temporary food list has already showcases potential power meals ideal for breakfast till late lunch. Expect to see exciting complete menu, with heavier weight to clean eats, healthy, nutritious. So just pick your favourite coffee, fruit juices, breads, sandwiches, dessert, wraps, salads, cakes, breakfast bowls, soups, salad, and more.
Flat White RM12
Coffee focuses on black and white like cappuccino, latte, flat white, and long black. No gimmicky creative caffeine infused drink, no syrup added latte, not even chocolate added mocha. Just the most basic espresso-based coffee pulled with love.
Cappuccino RM12
Currently, Nara Kitchen & Co. Cafe uses pif blend from Papa Palheta, a high quality blend that put together Panama Red Trogon, Guatemala Acatenango El Zapote, Tanzania Karatu coffee beans to result in smooth nutty pecan and chocolaty sweet notes.
Plain Jane RM16
We shared a serving of Plain Jane from Sandwiches + Wraps section. It is meatless, but not plain at all. Croissant is freshly made in house, buttery and flaky, generously stuffed with organic almond butter, caramelized peaches and almond flakes. Enjoy a little savouriness, a little fruitiness, a little sweetness, a little crunchiness when have them together.
If case you need something more light, Nara Kitchen & Co. Cafe offers refreshing choices including Brilliant Breakfast Pudding RM16 (with fresh vanilla milk, poached apricot, toasted almond, fresh mango and red orange zest), Nara’s Seasonal Fruits RM16, Watermelon Feta Crumble Salad RM23 (with Arugula, red raddish, cherry tomatoes, toasted walnuts, balsamic vinaigrette), ABC’s RM23 (with grated apple, beetroot, carrot, red raddish, crumbled feta, roasted almond, fresh citrus juice).
Bigger eaters can opt for Crunchy Chicken Fold RM29 (with asian slaw, mixed greens, radish, cripsy noodles, spiced peanut sauce), Grilled Chicken Avocado RM31 (with hand cut chips, homemade spiced tomato salsa, arugula, melted mozzarella on multigrain toast), Masala Shrimp RM33 (with fresh greens, spiced bell peppers, alfalfa sprouts, homemade mint yogurt, warm garlic tortilla), Tuna Tartar RM29 (with organic egg mayo, tomato salsa, wasabi guacamole, garlic butter toast), Organic Scramble egg RM26 (with crunchy romaine, tempura mushroom, tobiko, caviar enveloped in croissant).
Comments: Overall good and we like their bread! Heard that Nara Kitchen & Co. will be churning out trays of baking goodness from their kitchen soon, and all will be lined up at the dining area. That’s great. Service is friendly, staffs are polite.
