Claypot Oysters & Seafood 姜葱生蚝海鲜煲
This coming Ramadhan Month, In Colonial Restaurant has prepared a variety of Ramadan Set menu to cater buka puasa dinner. Set menu starts from RM70++ / RM90++ per pax for diners who come in 6 persons. While for those who come in 10, there are 3 options to choose from – RM60++/RM80++/RM100++ per pax.
Appetizers (Swiss Spring Rolls瑞士春卷,Shrimp Ravioli 鮮蝦云吞,Mango Prawn Rolls 香芒夏卷, Noodlefish with Salt & Chilli 椒鹽白反魚, Beef & Chicken Skewers雞肉牛肉串)
All sets come with a hearty plate of appetizers, selections may vary according to price. We sampled Swiss Spring Rolls, Shrimp Ravioli, Mango Prawn Rolls, Noodlefish with Salt & Chili, and Beef & Chicken Skewers. Swiss Spring Rolls, one of the signature in In Colonial, is of course the must-try. Crispy outer layer enveloped with cheese filling, and we find it better with vegetable sticks serving along, as it drives refreshing crunchiness to the overall flavours.
The mix and match of tropical fruits with seafood always earn our liking, same goes to this Mango Prawn Rolls- a concoction of crispy, bouncy, tangy sweet. Beef and chicken skewers on the other hand, could do better if there’s more fat in it.
Golden Brown Minced Garlic Scallops 避风塘扇贝
It is the restaurant’s new ala-carte item when we first tried In Colonial Golden Brown Minced Garlic Scallops, and still taste good as before. Huge, juicy scallop garnished with liberal amount of fried chopped garlic, chilli and scallion. Yeap, the toppings earn lots of winning points.
Admiral Butter Tiger Prawns 翡翠奶油虾
Butter Tiger Prawns fare some similarities with Golden Brown Minced Garlic Scallops, but added with buttery goodness and hint of aromas from curry leaves, minus chillis and scallion.
Steamed Sea Garoupa in Lemon Juice 香柠蒸龙虎斑
Steamed Sea Garoupa in Lemon Juice showcases a twist of Thai, having fresh garoupa fish laid in a bed of sourish and garlicky sauce. Sharp lemony flavours, hence you can expect the dish to be appetizing, goes well with a bowl of rice.
Paprik Vege 马来辣味蔬菜
Paprik Vege needs no further introduction, as it is a popular dish well-loved by locals across Malaysia. We always have this dish in the form of Chicken Paprik with Vegetables, but for In Colonial Intermark Ramadan, it is served with plenty of long beans, onions, cauliflowers without chicken. A balance of nutrients to the many meat dishes on table.
Each set menu comes with steamed rice, kurma dates, kuih and drinks to complete.
