3 Bags Full Kota Damansara PJ, a cafe cum restaurant located at the same row with Snowflake, Tai Chong Mix Rice and Niko Niko Onigiri, directly opposite to Hokkaido Japanese Bakery & Pastry House. Easy to miss out, yet appears to be prominent after you spotted, thanks to the-very-catchy shop name, well set off with a cute sheep shape logo.
Moderately decorated cafe, having coffee counter welcoming diners once stepping in, followed by long, high tables on the left, ends with steel rack brimming with imported teas, 3 Bags Full homemade cookies and biscotti. Wooden walls in different tones for visual texture, tables of the same, complemented by chairs in white for mild colour contrast.
At 3 Bags Full, menu selections are creative, choices are different for breakfast/brunch/lunch and dinner. Brunch at 3 Bags Full is more than just common pancake with honey & butter or American BIG Breakfast that put together baked beans, scrambled egg, sauteed mushroom, sausages, toasted bread and such; but at the same time not getting over far from the classic, fine tuned with chef’s personal innovation. So, be “mini” adventurous.
On 3 Bags Full Brunch & Lunch Menu:
Salmon Cnoqutte (Signature) RM26
Summergirl loves this Salmon Cnoqutte. Layers of surprise, started with fluffy breaded French toast at the bottom, further topped with aromatic pan-seared salmon, moist spinach, poached egg with oozing, runny egg yolk, sauteed mushroom and the most unexpected flavour – Not sweet potato, not pumpkin either, but a slice of fried peach that lends a burst of juicy sweetness, coupled with light crispiness jacketed outside. Sided with a shot of guiness & red wine reduction.
French Toast Kebab (Signature) RM17
Diners can hardly go wrong with dishes titled with “Signature” at 3 Bags Full, same goes to this French Toast Kebab. Sweet and savoury combination, sandwiching Nutella within eggy French toast, accompanied with turkey ham, banana and strawberry. Laced with pepitas seed and red wine reduction for playful tart and tangy touch.
Squid Ink Spaghetti RM33
3 Bags Full churns out Squid Ink Spaghetti too, and we can’t deny the black pasta is deeply infused with inky squid, luxuriously added with lobster meat, squid ring and a heap of fried ginger. Decent but for those who are not a fan of squid ink pasta like us, Smoked Duck Aglio Olio, Seafood Aglio Olio, Sauteed Clams Aglio Olio are on the menu list to ease your craving for pasta.
On 3 Bags Full Dinner Menu:
Caesar Salad RM25
For dinner, choices aren’t as extensive but narrowed down to some of the best from chefs. Two salads from the Salad Bar, and surprisingly, our Caesar Salad turns out to be good. Pleasing balance from all ingredients after the tossed.
New Zealand Tenderloin RM57
Main courses in 3 Bags Full cover from Black Angus Rib-Eye, New Zealand Tenderloin, Fish & Chips, Grilled Salmon Fillet, Sheep in The House Lamb Ribs, Chicken Roulade, Charcoal Beef Burger in Cheese and Aglio Olio Pasta. We recommended New Zealand Tenderloin, a generous portion 250g prime steak, best served medium rare.
Flat White RM9.50
Coffee for caffeine fix. 3 Bags Full coffee is a blend of Brazil and Guatemala, roasted by a Johore roastery.
Cappuccino RM9
Roasted Hazelnut Latte RM10
Syrup-added latte is available too. Lavender Latte, French Vanilla Latte, Burning Caramel Latte and Hazelnut Roasted Latte are standard choices, and we saw Salted Caramel Latte on “Menu of the day” board during our visit.
Dark Chocolate Mocha RM10
Mochi-mochi Waffle RM14
Belgian Waffle in 3 Bags Full goes more than just classic, hence feel free to pick your favourite from:
waffle+green tea gelato + chantilly cream + grapes + sunflower seeeds + almond powder = Matcha Buttermilk Waffle (RM18);
waffle + blueberry mascarpone + cofee crunch gelato + berry’s compote + granola + almond flakes = Hampshire Waffle (RM18);
micro salad with twin waffles + homemade butter + nutella gelato + hazelnut crumble = Pyramid Waffle (RM15);
green tea gelato + black sesame sauce + almond flakes + pepitas seeds + grounded peanut + almond biscotti = Mochi-mochi Waffle (RM14)
As the name tells, Mochi-mochi Waffle resembles mochi-like texture, but a tad too sticky and over chewy for our liking. Despite so, the slight disappointment is compensate with the green tea gelato crowned over the waffle, so good, so beyond expectation – velvety smooth, soft and mellow.
Sizzling Brownies RM17
One of the most celebrated desserts in 3 Bags Full- Sizzling Brownies. Homemade brownies with roasted walnut, topped with french vanilla. Shower peanut butter sauce over and enjoy the sizzling moments of the thick gravy bubbline on cast iron platter. We love the dense, moist texture, but can be overly sweet if eating alone. Suggest to pair with a cup of coffee, it’s then perfect.
