“Every munch is loaded with satisfying crunchiness, accompanied by tender juiciness of meat within.” After trying out Crispy Crust Fried Crispy Chicken, we have to agree that this eatery at Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya deserves to be crowned as one of the best place to have battered fried chicken in town.
Mentioning about deep-fried food, from local favourite pisang goreng to fast food chain finger-licking good chicken, addictive French fries, mamak ayam goreng, etc., there is always a benchmark it has to be real crispy, not cloying, not oily to achive the best taste. And, fried chicken by Crispy Crust carries all of these elements, their winning points.
Crispy Crust is located within the industrial area at Bandar Sunway which is just a stone throw from Sunway University Colleage and surrounded by few popular F&B eateries such as After Black, Garage 51, Underground Societe, Subway, MyBurger Lab HQ.
Hence, it seems competitative, and difficult for Crispy Crust to outperformed. But thanks to their really good, extra crunchy fried chicken in reasonable price, Crispy Crust manages to attract students and staff from near and far to visit.
The cafe highlights on self-service concept, similar to fast-food style where you have to proceed to the counter yourself for food ordering and pick-up.
Spaghetti + Grilled Salmon + Caramel Bacon
Their menu is pretty simple and straightforward, well illustrated with food pictures. Diners can mix and match accorrding to their preference. You can keep it as simple as just spaghetti with pan-fried egg, or make it plentiful with fried chicken on a bed of Japanese rice, further topped with cheese, bacon, sausage, pan-fried egg to make it a delicious feast.

Ordering process in Crispy Crust:
1. Hop over to the counter.
2. Order your main dish- Fried Chicken (RM5.50/piece), Grilled Chiekcn (RM5.50/piece), Fried Fish Fillet (RM6.00/piece), Grilled Salmon (RM16.00/piece).
3. Add some carbs to your diet- Japanese rice (RM2.00), Spaghetti (RM3.00), French Fries Fries (RM4.00/250g), sandwich (RM3.00); or gets healthy with a serving of home salad (RM3.00)
4. Continue with more toppings if you wished to – cheese (RM1.50), beef bacon (RM3.00), caramel bacon (RM2.00), pan fried egg (RM1.50), jumbo sausage (RM5.00), pineapple ring (RM1.00)
5. Round off with homemade lime soda (RM2.50), sof drink (RM2.20, +RM1 for refill, beer)

If you visited Crispy Crust in big group, suggest to order Platter for 4 which priced at only RM50.00 for sharing. Hearty platter, generously piled with 2 pieces of Crispy Crust Signature Deep Fried Chicken, 2 pieces of Grilled Chicken, 1 Jumbo beef sausage, 1 chicken sausauge, 2 pieces of Deep Fried Fish Fillet. Squid and shrimp is upon availability.
In short, our visit to Crispy Crust is memorable. Affordable price, mouth-watering deep fried food. Grilled chicken isn’t shadowed too. Just one thing, we didn’t see any desserts on their menu. Looking forward for more selections in near future.
