From 10th September to 29 September 2013, TEMPTations Restaurant at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel will bring diners to a gastronomic journey on Thai foodscape, dishing out a wide array of authentic Thai delights by Chef Narongsak Boonma and Chef Surin Malila from the award-winning Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong.
Minister-Counsellor of Commercial Office of the Royal Thai Embassy, Miss Vichada Pabunjertkit together with the Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Malaysia Mr Suwat Kumwong will be on hand to launch the Tantalizing Taste of Thai promotion in TEMPTations.
During this 20 days of promotion, diners can discover Thai dishes such as Yam Nua Yang (Spicy grilled beef salad), Phad Thai (Stir fried noodle with Thai style sauce), Kra Tong Thong (Mince chicken and sweet corn in crispy golden cup), Kang Buad Fuk Thong (Pumpkin in coconut cream) and Kao niew tua dum (Sticky rice and black bean in coconut cream), just to name a few.
Pia Phad Preaw Wan (Stir Fried Fish with Sweet)
Another favourite of ours. Crisp outside and flaky soft inside, this simple dish was flavoursome when stir fried with sweet, tangy and spicy Thai sauce. Very appetizing.
Gang Keaw Wan Gai (Green Curry with Chicken)
Impressive bowl of bonelss, skinless, tender pieces of chicken immersed in thick, creamy, extra flavourful green curry. Eggplant was soft, juciy from fully absorbing the flavours of curry. Worth scooping spoonful of gravy over white rice.
Phadk Kaproa Pla Muack (Stir Fried Squid with Hot Basil Leave)
Phad Thai (Thai Stir Fried Noodles)
Hop over to Phad Thai counter and ask for a plate of Phad Thai, the friendly Thai chef will cook upon order, allowing us to savour the fresh, pipping hot plate of noodles. Like the fluffy Thai noodles coated with sweet and spicy concontion, added extra raw bean sprouts for more juicy and crunchy munch.
Som Tam (Spicy Papaya Salad)
A popular Thai salad with shredded young papaya tossed along with tangy pungent chilli lime, sprinkled with crushed peanuts. Packed with colours, textures and flavours.
While Thai delights are the main attraction here, diners can still find varieties of local and international cuisines in the buffet, such as grill items including beef, fish, chicken, lamb, stringray and vegetables. Also on the buffet line there are gulai ikan, steamed fish, stir fried vegetables in soy sauce, etc.
Leave some room for Thai dessert. Chef will prepare different types of local Thai dessert on rotation basis, and you will find Kao Niew Mamuang (Sticky Rice with Mango), Tub Tim Gron (water Chestnut Dumpling with crushed Ice), Kluey Buad Chee (Banana in Coconut Milk), Bua Loy (Dumplings in Coconut Cream),Mao Chuam (sweet Potato in Syrup) and more on different day of visit.
